Bugaboo and (RED) Team up to Fight Aids

Image and video hosting by TinyPic Bugaboo is teaming up with (RED) to empower parents across the world to participate in the fight against AIDS in Africa. Starting on October 1, 2009, with any Bugaboo purchase, Bugaboo will contribute 1% of their revenue to the Global Fund to help fund AIDS programs in Africa — with an emphasis on the health of women and children. The funds support programs that often include delivery of lifesaving antiretroviral treatment and support for treatment to help prevent the transmission of HIV from mother to child.

Parents can choose to either purchase from the existing Bugaboo range or from the (BUGABOO)RED Special Collection to help those affected by HIV and AIDS in Africa, including millions of mothers and children.

The (BUGABOO)RED Special Collection includes a Bugaboo Cameleon Denim Stroller featuring a black matte frame, dark denim fabric and a distinctive red brake handle. Also for sale is a white leather (BUGABOO)RED Bag. The multipurpose modern carryall includes a changing mat, numerous compartments and removable food and drink containers.

(RED) was founded in 2006 to engage the private sector in raising awareness and funds for the Global Fund, to help eliminate AIDS in Africa.

  1. Do they make no effort to make these “designer prams” look good?

Its such a great idea to donate a percentage to charity and will certainly bring them business but come on bugaboo make abit of effort to make these prams looks good.
There has been someone selling black chassis for months on ebay now. And the hoods look dreadful!

    ADO(RED) !?! Whats that all about ?

  2. *Jenny~ ADO(RED) is one of the (RED) words from the Product (RED) campaign that donates $$ to the Global Fund which provides education and much needed medication to fight AIDS in Africa. It only costs .40 a day for the meds a mother needs to not pass HIV to her unborn child! Bugaboo joining this cause is so amazing but there are SO many other ways for everyone to support this cause..My daughters and I (RED) every way we can..from cell phones to t-shirts to wrapping paper and holiday cards!! visit joinred.com to learn how you and all of your friends and family can help and be ADMI(RED) by everyone!!
    Have a great day~ Cristina
