Shopping for My New Dining Room at Raymour & Flanigan #RFBloggers

This is my dining room table. My husband and I first got this table when we got married over 14 years ago! We bought it from Crate & Barrel and while it’s served us well, it’s seen better days.

When we bought it, it was actually on the showroom floor as an intended kitchen table or really casual dining table which is what drew us to it – we’re not formal people and I knew I didn’t want a formal dining room.

I still feel that same way 14 years later, but it was time for an update to something a little more 2015 for us. I’ve been working with Raymour & Flanigan over the last two years and I love their furniture so I knew they are where I would turn to for a new dining table set!

Last week, I headed over to my local Raymour & Flanigan to shop for a new table.

I had an idea of what I wanted when I headed over to my store but that didn’t stop me from spending over an hour in-store looking at all the various fabulous dining sets:

This one above is the Gray Street Dining Set and it was definitely in the running. In fact, I love just about everything there is to this set and would have gotten it if it had been just a tad bigger for us. In my next life, this will be my dining room set. It’s just too cool-looking.

This was another one of my favorites – the Glamour Dining Set. I am completely in love with the gray & red look in the chairs and adore the simple cut of the table. It would not match my house at all, which is why I didn’t go for it, but that didn’t stop me from completely loving this look with the varied colored chairs.

Here’s a few more beautiful dining sets ranging from casual to formal:

Beyond furniture, Raymour & Flanigan has home decor. It’s sometimes overwhelming when you’re on the show floor and looking at all of the fun furniture but don’t discount the items on the walls and tables scattered throughout the store. There’s some really nice and affordable pieces that pull a room together.

I was tempted by this Scroll Round Wall Mirror, which was on sale for $149.95 and HUGE! It would be great for a full wall.

There’s pretty much always some amazing sale going on at Raymour & Flanigan so it’s worthwhile to check the website often and visit your local store too! Delivery time is 3 days or under – I got all of my goodies in less than 24 hours!

So what did I end up with? Stay tuned! You’ll have to wait for part two of this installment. I’ll be posting next week with pictures of what I selected and how my new dining room turned out.
