Between the official arrival of summer and being 9-months pregnant, I’ve been pretty warm when I sleep. I’d like to open half the windows in our room every night, but my husband doesn’t seem to share my sentiments. So I was thrilled when I had the chance to check out the In Balance sheet set from Select Comfort. You may know Select Comfort for their Sleep Number beds, but they also make a wide variety of other bed products including pillows, sheets, blankets, mattress pads and more.

The In Balance sheets are constructed out of a 50/50 blend of cotton and Outlast Adaptive Comfort Viscose fiber that combine to help balance out temperature swings. The Outlast fabric adapts to your changing thermal needs by absorbing body heat when too much is created and releasing that heat back to you when you are cold. Pretty smart sheets.

And they work! I’ve had a number of nights sleeping on them and have noticed I’m not throwing my sheets and blankets on and off throughout the night as I get too hot and then too cold. I’ll admit I don’t exactly understand how the fabric technology all works, but I know I’m getting more restful sleep – and at 9 months pregnant, that’s something I’ll welcome with open arms.

Other features of the In Balance sheets:

350 thread count

SmartFit (patented fitted sheet that guarantees no-slip and a smooth sleep surface)

Extra-deep pocket fits beds up to 18 inches

Logic Label system takes the guesswork out of where to start making your bed.

Set includes 1 flat sheet and 1 fitted sheet

Available in white, sand, sage and sea blue

Machine washable

Though the set usually retails for $169.99 – $219.99 depending on size, right now the sheets are on sale for $159.99 – $199.99. Even better, Select Comfort wants to give one lucky MWS reader a set of In Balance sheets in the size and color of their choice.

Oh where do I start? My wonderful husband has terrible sleep apnea and in addition to the horrible snoring, will stop breathing at night. Couple that with living in a really hot climate and a child with special needs who has night terrors…. let’s just say it’s been a long time since I’v had a good night’s sleep.

  9. I run on the cold side. I love to be cold when I sleep. My husband would LOVE these as they would probably keep him warmer.

My biggest sleep woe right now is that I am completely off any kind of normal sleep schedule. I’m a teacher, and not having to work during the summer. Somehow I’ve gotten my days and nights mixed up.

Hot flashes are my problem—plus a hubby that snores, but only some of the time.

  17. My present sleep woes are that its too hot this summer which makes us sweaty and sticky and uncomfortable… that goes for our 7 month old too, so he wakes up and cries at least a few times per night. My hubby’s back is bad now too, so he tosses and turns and wakes me up alot too. I probably get about 2 hours of actual sleep per night right now and you can definitely tell by looking at me 🙁

So I normally only sleep an average of four hours per night.
