Raegan Moya-Jones, co-owner of aden + anais, has just written a book about the joys of swaddling, Swaddle Love — and she just gave birth to her fourth baby! The book is part instruction/ part memoir and was very engaging. As a mom who swaddled both her babies, I was happy to see her book gave explicit instructions on how to swaddle (because it’s not easy to do and will unravel if not snug enough), and talks about why it works so well to calm babies.
We also checked out aden + anais’ fabulous lightweight cotton muslin swaddle blankets ($44 for a 4 pack). Each blanket measures 47″ x 47″ and are pre-washed. I can’t wait to swaddle my new babe with them, who shows up in August! These lightweight blankets will be perfect for swaddling, as well using a shielding my baby from the summer sun.
We also checked out their super-absorbent Burpy Bibs ($19.99 for a 2 pack). The special curved shape lets it be draped around a baby’s neck as a bib (there’s a snap in the back) or used as a burp cloth (curved to stay on a parents’ shoulder). Also made of cotton muslin, they’re super soft.
Thank you to aden + anais for providing samples for review.
While I never used their swaddle blankets we use their sleep sacks for our almost 12 month old when she’s wearing cooler PJs. We love these! You wouldn’t think they are very warm since the fabric is so thin but they do.
