Today is my kids last day of school. Cue the bipolar “yay” and “oh no!” shout at the same time. Now that summer’s starting in full swing, it’s pretty safe to say what I’ll be wearing pretty much every day for the next several weeks. If I’m not in a bathing suit and cover up, I’m in a maxi dress or a maxi skirt and tank top. Cute comfort! Summer may be my favorite time of year for clothing just because I can get cute and comfort in one look so easily.
What’s nice too is how affordable this summer look can be! In honor of summer, I’ve put together a couple of fun looks for the summer for under $50. Here’s a casual one that’s pretty similar to what I’ll be in every day. Everything here is from Gap/Old Navy:
Gap Foldover Skirt, $39.95 , use coupon code FLASH for 40% off (or whatever coupon is current today depending on when you click!). I got this skirt last week along with this awesome 4-in-1 Maxi Dress/Skirt and love it. Women’s Dip Dye Ribbed Tank from Old Navy, $8.50 plus 20% off when you use coupon code SAVEMORE – Printed Espadrille Slip On, $29.95 use coupon code FLASH for 40% off or current coupon code. Assuming you use the coupons, total cost of this outfit under $50!
And another casual one, this one from Target:
Mossimo® Women’s Knit Maxi Dress – Black/White Stripe, Target, on sale for $18 – Mossimo Cross Body Clutch in Coral, $29.99
And a slightly dressier one inspired by LOFT for a girls lunch out or night out. This dress is great because you could definitely dress it up or down for multiple functions:
Striped V-Neck Dress, LOFT – huge 40% off sale right now, when you put it in your cart, it’s $32.88 – Studded T-Strap Sandals, mega sale price at LOFT right now – $17.88!
Without the purse, this outfit is $50.93 but I couldn’t resist the white purse as one quick addition. It’s the Merona Satchel Handbag, $29.98 sale price at Target.com
Happy shopping!
Great summer outfit picks! My favorite is the first one – the tank top and flats are super cute!

I love all of these. I just need to figure out how to incorporate them into a big girls wardrobe.
