It’s pretty easy to fall into the same routine with our makeup. You find something you love, you use it and don’t deviate from it, right?

I definitely have my favs but I do love when I discover something new that’s even better! I’m always reluctant to try something new but I decided that 2018 would be the year I branch out. So far I’m loving it and have already gotten some new products that I’m obsessed with that I thought I would share with you all:

Foundation: Les Beiges by Chanel
It only took one little sample of this foundation from Nordstrom to hook me. One of my pet peeves with foundations are the thick clay-like ones. I just want something to be light, smooth and long-lasting. While it doesn’t come cheap, I can say that Les Beiges foundation from Chanel fits the bill for all of my foundation needs. I’m loving this product and a friend even commented the other day about how even my skin looked! Score!

Face mask: Beautycounter Brightening Facial Mask
I reviewed this one last year and I’ve tried a lot of facial masks but I had to give another shout out to Beautycounter’s No. 1 Brightening Facial Mask. I believe it’s the addition of the Vitamin C but no other mask makes my skin feel so awesome and smooth after I use it than this product.

Eye: Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream
Another one I fell in love with thanks to a sample. It didn’t take much! This eye cream from Bobbi Brown is super hydrating and has helped to both get rid of discoloration under my eyes but I really believe it’s also minimizing my age lines around my eyes? I love that it’s creamy but not too thick – feels like the perfect amount and it goes on lightly and preps you well for makeup after it’s on. I noticed one reviewer on Nordstrom said this product is a “game changer for tired Moms.” Amen, sister.

Lips: Fresh Sugar Lip Serum
If you were to tell my 20-something self that I would use a lip primer in my 40s, I’m pretty sure that 20-something self wouldn’t even know what a lip primer is. But lately, I wake up with really dry lips. And it’s not just seasonal – I’m literally waking up with lines and peeling lips many mornings. I don’t know what it is but I started looking for ways to keep my lips hydrated a few years ago. I’ve tried a few lip exfoliators but I really like this Fresh Sugar Lip Serum – it’s actually a primer so it goes on before you lipstick (and helps it to stay on longer!) but I love it for how much it helps with the little lip lines and how much it moisturizes.

Highlighter: Laura Geller Illuminator Palette
The first time I used this product, my 20-something niece said to me, “are you using a highlighter? The make-up on your cheeks looks great.” I knew I was doing something right with a compliment from her! If you’re looking for a little extra highlight as a finishing touch to your makeup, this set from Laura Geller has some nice neutral colors that will give you a little bit of a shimmer – plus the price is right this week! It’s currently 50% off on Nordstrom.
