And just like that my junior year of college is over. Wow, this year was filled with surprises! I learned so much this semester from how to write a perfect paper to bettering my squash game and understanding myself. Here are the top five things I can share with you.
It is okay to drop classes
My spring semester I dropped two classes. Honestly, it felt like the end of the world. I felt like I failed myself and my parents. However, after a few weeks, I realized it was okay. There are plenty of circumstances that require people to drop classes and there are MANY ways to make up your credits. Do not freak out if it’s just not working for you.
Family will always be there
No matter what, your family will always have your back.
Staying calm and collected pays off
I ended up moving three times this year due to aterrible living situation. I can tell you it wasn’t fun, but staying calm paid off. Getting angry won’t get you very far.
Communication is key
Whether it is communicating with housing to get out of a bad environment, or your professors about dropping a class, or your relationships ALWAYS communicate. Do not be afraid to speak what is on your mind and be open and honest.
There is nothing better than having your girl gang
Make time for your friends and enjoy every moment. I know everyone says this but the four years fly by.
Speak Your Mind
