Betty Bike Basket Liners Bring Back Cute to Your Bike!

About a year ago I decided I was going to make an effort to shrink both my butt and my carbon footprint. I had an elaborate plan that involved biking to starbucks and the grocery store for all the little quick trips I make. Since I live in California where the weather is rarely an excuse to drive, it seemed like a great idea.
But I got lazy. And I blamed my bike. I told it I did not want to ride it because it was not cute enough. In order to economize my husband and I got one Electra bike to share between us. It’s black. It’s booooring.
Not anymore. Ever since I popped this Betty Basket Liner into the wire basket on the front of my bike, it’s adorable! Instant beauty makeover. Just like that, my bike’s a babe!
On top of the visual ka-ching, Betty Basket Liners are also extremely practical. After I park my bike at my destination, I can lift out my Betty Basket Liner and carry it with me as a cute tote. The Betty has integrated tote straps and pockets inside that help keep small items corralled. It looks cute thanks to the fab designer fabrics it is made with. When I am ready to go home, the whole thing pops back on my bike.
My Betty Basket liner fits on an Electra Bike wire basket (not included). There is a version that fits most wicker baskets as well.
One more thing I like about Betty is that she can go in the wash and she has friends. When I get sick of one design or a juicebox leaks, I can swap it out for another. Also my husband is not stuck with her when he wants his turn on the bike. He’s jealous though. I think he needs a Bernie or something!
Yes it’s a little shallow of me that a cute basket liner makes me want to ride my bike more but what can I say. I have always been that girl. The streamers, the spoke charms, the sparkly banana seat. Cute bikes are more fun to ride. Just ask Betty!
