Early August media round up

I feel like I just did one of these. But in the last two weeks, there have been a ton of releases – must be a back to school thing. Anyway, I had to do another as there are so many great movies coming out. Here goes:
Little Einsteins – Flight of the Instrument Fairies – “Einsteins, Einsteins, Einsteins, Moooooooooommy!,” is what I’m hearing pretty much every morning these days. I don’t know what it is but for some reason the Little Einsteins is my toddler’s show of choice lately. So this latest, the Flight of the Instrument Fairies, released just this week (Tuesday, August 5th), couldn’t have come at a better time for us as we’re going to be on a plane this weekend. Fingers crossed this keeps my toddler (who is having his last flight as a “lap child”; I must be insane) occupied. Anyway, as it released this week, it’s on sale at Amazon – $14.99 plus free shipping when you buy $25 plus. If you have a Little Einsteins fan in the house, it’s a good one to have.
Go Diego Go – Great Dinosaur Rescue – For whatever reason, both Dora and Diego are called “Da-Duck” by my toddler. And this one is particularly exciting for him as what boy doesn’t love dinosaurs? It’s $16.99 on Amazon and recently released.
Transformers CyberTron – the Ultimate Collection – And thankfully we own two portable DVD players, as my 4.5 year old will be watching the recently released Transformers Cybertron collection on the above mentioned plane flight. 7 discs. We might as well fly to Europe, he’ll be so entertained (don’t I wish). It’s currently 33% off on Amazon and selling there for $39.99.
Handy Manny – Manny’s Pet Roundup – This released the same day as the Little Einsteins movie (Tuesday) so it’s also marked down on Amazon. For all the little Handy Manny fans out there, get it while it’s discounted at $14.99.
Ben 10 – the Complete Season 4 – still have yet to see this one. But for all those Ben 10 fans, here’s the complete 4th season, just out. It’s $14.99 on Amazon.
Animal Planet’s Orangutan Island Season 1 – We haven’t seen this yet but I’m curious to see if it’s as good as Meerkat Manor, which the whole family enjoys. Hoping this one is also family friendly. Season One just released, it’s $35.95 on Amazon.
Avatar Book 3: Fire Volume 4 – $11.99 on Amazon
The Backyardigans: Mighty Match Up – the Backyardigans visit Ancient Greece to try and convince the god of weather to stop the rain so they can play basketball. $14.99
Nickelodeon’s Back at the Barnyard: When No One’s Looking – recent release, $12.99 on Amazon. I actually think this show is really funny – too bad my kids aren’t into it yet. It’s about a bunch of talking barnyard animals and they definitely have subtle adult humor at play so it makes it entertaining to watch.
Garfield’s Fun Fest – $12.99 on Amazon, same loveable tubby cat, different story.
Transformers Animated – Season One, releasing August 19th with a preseason price of $19.99 (it’s 2-disc)
Ni Hao, Kai-Lan: Super Special Days – this is the first DVD release for Nickelodeon’s new show, Ni Hao, Kai-Lan. Wish my boys liked it, it’s a cute show! It’s releasing next Tuesday, August 12 with a pre-order price of $10.99.
