How completely fun is my new Shirt dress from Elizabeth McKay? Her designs just scream summer cocktail on a boat to me. I love the bold colors in all of her designs. Everything feels very country club or summer on the Hamptons to me – a little bit of preppy fun!
Here I’m wearing the Alligator-print Shirt Dress (Elizabeth McKay, $265.00). First I added a green belt from Anthropologie in this photo (Sorry for the blurry photos, not quite sure what happened there):
And then thought I’d snap one for you guys without the belt, as I think the dress is fab with or without it!

You can view everything Elizabeth McKay has to offer on their website. I’m partial to the dresses because I’m a dress kind of girl but there are some really fun tops and bottoms for every day wear that I find myself also swooning over when I’m checking out all of their products.
What a cute dress! I think it all depends on where you’re going. If you’re dressing it up, then I like it with the belt. But if you’re dressing it down with a pair of flat sandals, I’d wear it without the belt. Either way, it looks great on you!

Aunt Brenda – it’s from Anthropologie! I got it on sale in the one in Cincy during Abbie’s wedding weekend! Love it – it’s a waist (not hip) belt and it clips together. Love it!

Love it both ways, Without a belt with flat sandals would be a cute casual look, with the belt and fabulous wedges, a bit more dressed up! It would also be great with a hot pink belt or a tan one! 😉

For sure with the belt. Hands down no doubt about it. You look awesome. However I will say that if you want to just run around you can throw that on with flip-flops for the daytime look.
