Your pooch. Muffin top. Belly bulge. Whatever you want to call it, if you’ve had a baby, there’s a good chance it’s there. You could spend a few thousand dollars on some elective plastic surgery. Or you could get Yummie Tummie.
Whether you’ve just had a baby or had one years ago, Yummie Tummie’s extensive line of shapewear is your new best friend.
I had the chance to try out Yummie Tummie’s Nursing T Tank which provides midsection compression and smoothing while still allowing access to your girls for feeding. The Nursing Tank T has three parts to it – a top section made out of cotton and elastine that has a traditional snap down bust panel to allow for easy nursing. Then there is a middle section – what I like to call “the magic smoother” – constructed out of polyester and elastine. This section slims, smooths and shapes your belly. Finally, there is a bottom panel made of the same cotton blend as the top section. This bottom section is extra long which makes sure that it doesn’t roll up and expose anything while you do life as a mom. Plus it makes it easy to tuck into your pants or skirt or leave it out as a layer. Since the material looks just like a normal tank top, no one has to know the secret smoothing, slimming and shaping going on in your midsection.
When I first received the tank, I’ll admit I was a little skeptical about how much slimming the middle panel would provide. It just didn’t seem that tight. I was confused why one of the hang-tags mentioned either stepping into the shirt and shimming it up or sliding it over your head and shimming it down. Then I tried to put it on. And shimmy you must. As with most shapewear, getting it on is half the battle.
But once it’s on – voila. Pooch poofed. Belly bulge banished. And I feel like a yummy mummy again.
Visit Yummie Tummie to check out the Nursing T Tank ($82) along with their entire line of tops, bottoms, intimates and apparel to make you feel yummy again.
