I tested out the Fresh Diet for a week. This post comes the day after my week-long trial ends and I’m so sad to be going to back to having to make my own food. I’m spoiled! Seriously.
I’ve been dieting and calorie counting since the New Year so I really appreciated having the ease of the Fresh Diet for a week and having my calories already figured out for me – with healthy food.
You can select from a variety of plans based on calorie count and I opted for the 1200-1400 calories a day plan. (You can go lower but I find with working out regularly I need at least 1200+ a day to lose weight.)
Before my week started, I went through my diet schedule and I was able to make selections for what I wanted off the Fresh Diet website. Each day consists of three meals, a snack and a dessert. Each of those five items would come with at least 3 choices or more to ensure you could select the foods you like.
There was also a spot where you could put foods in your dislike basket. This is where you put all the things you don’t eat. For me, garlic because I’m allergic. Red meat because I don’t eat it. Most of the time I didn’t see anything come up as an option with these things in them but a few times when I tried to select something with a sauce of some kind I’d get a note that I should select something else because that particular food had garlic in it. So awesome. It’s so tough for me with allergies and garlic because it’s not a common one and it’s in EVERYTHING so I really appreciated having this made so simple for me!
Overall, this service is awesome. I’m not gonna sugar coat it, it’s pricey. 31-days is $1,084.69 for the Chef’s Plan. Y-ouch. BUT, when I got to thinking about it, the sticker price didn’t shock me as much. Fresh, gourmet food is expensive. What would you spend in a month on diet, fresh, gourmet food in a month?
And the key here for me is the convenience. I don’t know about you guys but I’m always on the run with a crazy Mom schedule. It’s tough to plan out a weekly menu, let alone factoring in a diet for me. So that’s one of the main reasons I think the Fresh Diet is invaluable. It’s really great for a working Mom/person or anyone who just has little time in their day but wants to eat healthy.
I’ve got a few more days left on the plan so I’ll do a follow up post to let you guys know about the food and other details.
But in the meantime, I have a deal for my readers. You can receive 3 days free with the purchase of a 31 day plan at $29.99 per day. The promo code is: semommar29

The website looks really awesome! Thanks
I have a week of Fresh Diet right now too- from gilt.com and I wish I could keep it going, but the price is just too high. That reminds me! I didn’t eat my breakfast yet!
I also did got the promo on Gilt for the Fresh Diet and I’ve been on it now for about a month. I’ve lost 6 pounds so far! It is expensive but it works more effectively than anything I’ve tried on my own. It tastes way better to me than Freshology and Chef’s Diet to boot and you get to have a choice of what to eat. That ends up being really important because if you don’t like something, you might end up eating something else that might now be healthy.
That’s awesome they were on Gilt – I didn’t know they were. And totally agree Ella, if you don’t like the food on the diet you’re on, it can be a total risk factor to cheat on something unhealthy!
I think they’ve been having a few deals on various sites recently. It might be good to checkout yipit.com occasionally for Fresh Diet deals though I think it’s only for new clients or those who haven’t used the service for 90 days. Anyway, I agree. Eating food you like will definitely keep you on the bandwagon.
I tried The Fresh Diet about a month ago and loved it! It made me feel like a celebrity who had their own personal chef, having special meals delivered to me daily. I’ve never cooked anything that tasted as good and the convenience was such a godsend.
Did you get the cheesecake? My favorite! And the breakfast burritos were sooooo good.
