Last week, I posted that after weeks of waiting, my Frigidaire Affinity washer and dryer finally arrived. Since I had them in the house less than 24 hours before putting up my first post, I hadn’t had a chance to run a load yet.
I have since. But before I tell you about my laundry doings, let me preface this by telling you a little bit about my old washer and dryer. I had no problem with my old washer and dryer. They were a wedding gift from my parents. My husband and I just this week celebrated our 9 year anniversary, and the old products had held up well.
I applied to be a part of the Frigidaire Moms Super Influencer team because my stove and dishwasher were pretty much falling apart. And I wasn’t loving my refridgerator but the new washer/dryer that was a part of the package was just an added bonus.
But I wasn’t sure what I’d say or how I would feel about the new washer/dryer as I didn’t really have any problems in the past. How different could they be? Now that a week has gone by, and all the laundry that comes with a family of four, I think I can leave a little more feedback.
I was working with average appliances before and now I’m living in laundry luxury. And I’m not just talking about the pretty look. The Frigidaire Affinity Washer and Dryer are faster and more efficient than my old washer and dryer. Each cycle takes about 45 minutes. It’s not a huge time saver for me with the washer, but the dryer amazes me. My old dryer took about an hour and a half to dry each load, depending on size.
Other nice perks: these products are Energy Savers, using 30% less water than the average washer. They also fit a lot of clothes – somehow the amount of laundry I can fit into each is much more than my old set, but the actual products aren’t taking up any additional floor space in my laundry room. And I love the delay start function. I recently used it on the dryer when my kids were going to bed to test it out and to have it start up once they were fully asleep.
More to come!
I wrote this review while participating in a Test Drive Campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Frigidaire and will be receiving a Frigidaire Refrigerator, Range/Microwave, Washer/Dryer set, and a Dishwasher to facilitate my review.
‘Wow’ is what first comes to mind-
Your washer and dryer do look “pretty” certainly . . but hearing your description of the efficiencies of the appliances, indeed add to the appeal.
When we are ready, we will certainly keep Frigidaire in mind.
Thanks for your review- most helpful.
New washer and dryer are on the list of new gadgets required for the house but I just got my front adn back steps redone so I will wait. Nice to know you are enjoying these products I will keep in mind for the future.
You sold me!!! Do they come in white?
I have this exact washer and dryer. I actually won them and I love them. We stacked them in our laundry room. They do an amazing job! Congrats on being part of the Frigidaire Test Drive team. ENJOY!
Not sure about coming in white – I know they come in red. I would have done white too but they chose blue for me and I have to say, it’s actually really nice looking!
Clueless Mama – I wouldn’t have thought to stack! We wouldn’t have had room but I bet that’s a big space saver.
I have them in white. Love them but after a yr. of using them I’m starting to get a weird mildew smell in the washer. I do keep the door open all day after washing. Tried putting a box of Baking Soda in it and it actually helps a bit.
Hello! I know this is kind of off topic but I was
wondering which blog platform are you using for this site?
I’m getting tired of WordPress because I’ve had problems with hackers and I’m looking at alternatives for another platform.
I would be great if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.
