I spoke to photographer Jesse Anders of On Point Images who told me that to have fun while you take pictures of your kids! Anders said the great thing about kids is that they have a range of emotions that show up on camera and their personality can shine through.
Here’s me trying to get my daughter, Allegra to smile and pose for the camera. It wasn’t easy, but I got a few good shots!

Kids do the cutest things until you want to commit it to film! I’d love to win some Gap jeans for my daughter because with all her pre-palentologist work on the playground she is hard on her jeans and Gap makes ones that last!
