vidalhair As a part of a campaign with Procter & Gamble, I was challenged to test out some Vidal Sassoon products the week after the Oscars.  I was to pick some fun hair styles I liked on various celebs and use some Vidal Sassoon products to try and recreate the look.  So fun, right?

Here are two hair styles I thought were fun and would be different for a change.  I have flat, straight hair on any given day so jazzing things up with some loose waves seemed like a challenge!

I loved Zoe Saldana’s loose, relaxed curls so she was one of my inspirations.

And Kristen Stewart also had some beach type curls going that I thought were fun.

I used two Vidal Sassoon products for this test: Vidal Sasoon Boost & Lift Foaming Air Mousse and Vidal Sassoon Repair & Finish Spray.

Both products came out in January of 2013 and can be found at your local drugstore.

So I started first by drying my hair after I had put some of the Vidal Sasoon Boost & Lift Foaming Air Mousse in.   I basically put a small tennis ball sized amount into my hair when it was towel dried but still wet.

Here’s my hair after I had dried it off.

I did my curling iron thing and this is how it turned out!  I definitely think the mousse helped to hold it all together.

What do you think?  Am I Oscar ready for 2014?  The curls turned out more like KStew than Zoe but I also think that’s because I’m guessing my hair is more similar in every day life to KStew than Zoe’s.

Lastly, I finished off with Vidal Sassoon Repair & Finish Spray.  It sort of a repair and holding spray all in one, which I like.  I applied it a bit to my roots as directed but also used it all over as a hair spray to just make sure the curls would stay for a bit.

You can get Vidal Sassoon products at your local drugstore or online at Target.

Oh and because reality set in and I wasn’t actually Oscar bound but off to run some errands, I decided to play with it a bit.  About an hour later I threw on this headband, I thought it was a cute, fun day look!

Disclaimer: I’m working with P&G over the next few months to test out several of their products. I am being paid for this campaign. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
