Halloween with @Kmart (Plus #Giveway of TWO $500 Gift Cards!) #KmartHalloween

Last Halloween season, I had posted about my huge Halloween Shopping Haul at Kmart (2012).  I had all sorts of fun with it, so I was thrilled when they reached out again this season about shopping at Kmart for Halloween 2013!

Armed with a gift card, I took the whole fam to Kmart this weekend.  We were on the lookout for Halloween decor for the house, Halloween costumes for all four of us and of course candy and goodies to give out on Halloween Night to the Trick or Treaters!

We also have a cool event to attend this year – Trunk or Treat at my boys’ school.  Trunk or Treat is where you park your car in the parking lot and decorate the trunk as creatively (or scary!) as you can for Halloween. The kids will trick or treat around the parking lot to the various “trunks.”

We’re doing this several days before Halloween and since we have so many allergies at school these days, school asked that no food/candy items be given out.  So I was on the hunt at Kmart for some toys and small Halloween non-candy items for Trunk or Treat too.

Our local store was DECKED out for Halloween.  When you walk in, you see these signs that point you in the direction of all the Halloween goodies. My boys were literally running ahead following the signs and then hanging ghosts and Grim Reapers!

We were overwhelmed by all of the awesome choices!  There were two aisles of Halloween costumes – our local store had it broken up into a kids costume aisle and then teens & adult.

I wanted Hubby to get this Whoppie Cushion costume so badly – so funny, right?  He got something just as good though and I’ll be sharing it at a later date.

I will have two more posts coming to show you guys this month – one with picts of what I did with the fab decorations in and outside of our house and one with our costumes! I know you are waiting with bated breath to see what we picked!  Hubby’s is HILARIOUS.  I am having to hold back from showing it to you now!
