Tomorrow, March 2nd, would have been Dr. Seuss’s 108th birthday and each year, educators and people around the world celebrate and remember the author by celebrating his life’s work.

What’s your favorite work from Dr. Seuss?

Of course one of his hot sellers this year is The Lorax, as the movie opens tomorrow (obviously timed well!).  I ordered the book for my boys and they have enjoyed my reading it to them.  You can get the Lorax hardcover children’s book for $8.97 on Amazon.

I love that the message that this book presented when it was first published in 1971 is still an important one to be read to our children (saving and respecting the earth’s environment!)

Another favorite of my boys’ is Ten Apples on Top.  Not as well known as some of his other books, this cute little book is catchy (aren’t they all?) and uses over 75 vocabulary words.  Get it for $8.99 in hardcover on Amazon.

And we had The Foot Book in a board book when Cole was a baby.  He used to LOVE this story as a toddler and would ask my husband to read it every night for several months.  Get the Foot Book by Dr. Seuss in hardcover for $8.99.

What about you?  Which is your favorite Dr. Seuss book?
