When I was a kid, I had the worst kind of chapped hands during the winter time.  In particular, I remember my hands at their worst during my junior high school years when we lived on the north shore of Chicago.  It would get bitterly cold and I remember the piercing pain of hands that cracked to the point of bleeding as I stood outside of school waiting for the bus to take me back home.

When it would get really bad, my Mom would have me sleep with gloves on overnight.  We’d do her emergency solution to help my hands out – mass amounts of Vaseline Petroleum Jelly lathered all over my hands and then covered with gloves over night.  It was literally a miracle cure.  I’d wake up in the morning with soft, mostly healed hands.

Given my history with Vaseline, I’m not surprised that I also love their new Vaseline Intensive Rescue Repairing Lotion.  Believe it or not, I only just tried it out for the first time as a part of this campaign and I love it.

I’m trying the fragrance free lotion – my favorite kind.  I’m not one for lotions with smell – I’d rather focus on moisturizing my hands than anything else.

Vaseline Intensive Rescue Repairing Lotion’s has been proven to heal dry hands in 3 days, which I believe, given the miracle that is Vaseline’s Petroleum Jelly that I’ve seen first hand.  I’ve been using the new lotion for days now and I love it.  It’s not greasy at all – greasy, thick lotions are a total pet peeve of mine.  This product rubs in nicely and lightly yet it totally feels like it really gets down in your skin to hydrate.  The best kind!

You can buy Vaseline Intensive Rescue Repairing Lotion at pretty much any major retailer, and in the meantime check out Vaseline’s Facebook page for more info.

As a part of this campaign, I’m doing a fun family challenge and we’ll be building a snowman with our fun new Snowman Making Kit courtesy of Vaseline!  Of course we’ll have to get some snow here in Philly to have that happen but I’m thinking it’s coming as they are calling for colder weather towards the end of this week!  Stay tuned for a fun post with that too!
