While my boys (7&4) will get some candy in their Easter baskets, I definitely make it my mission each year to keep the candy and junk food in there down to a minimum.  And I definitely remember going on a hunt when they were smaller to find fun alternatives to candy to put into the Easter Eggs.  (I wasn’t up for giving my toddler jelly beans anyway)

If you have a baby or toddler, you’ve hopefully heard of HappyFAMILY, a wonderful family that makes organic and healthy food options for young children.  I received a pitch from them in my inbox about using some of the products in lieu of candy for the Easter eggs and I thought it was a great suggestion!

My boys love these little organic cookies and I plan on putting these into Easter Eggs that I hide around the house.  Thought they were appropriate since they are little bunnies and all.

    The Happy Baby/Happy Tots pouches are great for toddlers/preschoolers. My almost 3 year old LOVES the Banana, Peach, Mango (with salba); the Spinach, Mango; and the Cinnamon, Apple, Sweet Potato (with salba) pouches. She sees them as a treat; I see them as a way to sneak in some whole grains and veggies! She’s a sweetheart and shares them from time-to-time, and they taste really good!
