Looking to get your hair holiday-ready? Early this month I had to chance to attend a press event at I.C.O.N. Lab Salon in Woodland Hills, CA where the brand develops, tests and perfects new hair products, colors and treatments to keep your tresses gorgeous and glossy. While we munched and mingled, we were able to learn about some of the current and new products I.C.O.N. is developing and experience some of the salon’s amazing services.

There in the chair, I learned about some of I.C.O.N.’s central concepts like touch therapy (oh holy amazing head massage) and cocktails (a combination of treatment or styling products – for your hair, not your cup.)

Have a winter hair woe this holiday season?  I.C.O.N.’s eco-friendly products to the rescue!

Problem: Dry, brittle hair

Solution: The Hydration trio of Drench (shampoo), Free (conditioner) and Inner Home (moisture mask) is perfect for turning winter hair into holiday WOW hair. I’ve been using the shampoo and conditioner for the last week and my hair looks and feels healthier, shinier and smoother. Plus it smells great. I love facial masks, but have never used a hair mask before. I’m now a believer. It’s an easy step to do in the shower and has helped keep my hair healthy and deep conditioned in this season of dry, cold days and heater-blasted rooms.

Problem: Dull, drab hair

Solution: I.C.O.N.’s new Stained Glass semi-permanent hair color is available in 15 different colors. I opted not to get a color and just got Stained Class in clear gloss. No alcohol, ammonia, parabens, or peroxide and check out this shine!

ICON Stained Glass Problem: Winter fly-aways

Solution: I.C.O.N.’s Cure – a spray-in, leave-in treatment for your tresses that soothes damaged hair, protects weak strands and locks in moisture. Plus, a purchase of the Cure helps more than your hair. With each bottle, I.C.O.N. makes a donation to cancer research organizations like STOP CANCER.

We also got a chance to check out the gorgeous jewelry collection from Sara Horne Jewelry. (Aren’t these perfect for New Year’s Eve?) I loved that many of her necklaces could be worn as a single strand, double strand, or triple as a bracelet.

I also have to give a mention to I.C.O.N. Lab Salon’s amazing in-house facialist, Eiko Page, who I’d consider making the 45 minute drive to see again, and the adorable, eyebrow-shaping, holiday-make-up guru Jasminine Dashtishad who got my eyes holiday ready with a fresh brow line and this gold Sparkle Glitter Glaze by Mirabella (think festive, adult-appropriate micro glitter, not teeny-bopper tacky).
