We’re hooooommmmee! I can’t say that I’m thrilled to be home and back as reality isn’t anywhere as near as being in Disney.

The Disney Social Media Moms Conference is always such an amazing event. It’s the only event I attend where I feel that my family is so totally welcome. There’s one full day of conference sessions for attendees but Disney includes family in almost everything out from dinner’s on the beach to fireworks in Epcot. It’s truly a magical experience and feels more like a vacation than a conference and that’s the beauty of it. I love the chance to network and learn in the sessions but still have my guys with me.

This will undoubtedly be more than one post but I wanted to share just a few photos and a mini recap of how the weekend went, highlighting some of my favorite moments!

First, Epcot. It still continues to be our favorite park for all four of us. We’re not huge crowd or line people and while my boys love rides, they also love walking around the World Showcase and the more relaxed feel that I always think Epcot has. This visit, the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festivalwas going on so there were Disney character topiaries throughout the park. Here’s my hubby and boys with Lightning McQueen:

But let me back up. Day 1.

The boys and I visited Hollywood Studios that first day. (Jon happened to be at a conference in Orlando) I’m a big ride wimp but I happen to LOVE Toy Story Mania. I hit my all-time-record of 170,000+ points this time! Woo! I get really competitive and the kids go between laughing about it and being annoyed. Either way, we had a blast:

We also loved both of the shows we attended – the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular and the Lights Motor Action Extreme Stunt Show – I had never been to either! They were both really impressive.

My boys would probably say that their favorite stop in Hollywood Studios was the Make-Your-Own-Lightsaber station in the store at Hollywood Studios. They did this years ago when they were little but as you guys can see, they definitely appreciated it more this time around and it didn’t take long to get to battling:

We stopped by the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground TWICE while we were in Hollywood Studios! I always thought this was for smaller kids but my guys definitely had a good time there! It was so insanely hot that I think they loved the chance to run under the water in the playground. Here’s Cole coming out of a big spider web:

That night was the first official event of the conference andwe had a dinner in Epcot. Cole and I were beyond excited to get a chance to meet Baymax from Big Hero 6. I always think of Baymax when I’m running {“I am not fast”}. Can I tell you guys, the line to meet him was insane? We happened to snap a quick picture early but Baymax was definitely the favorite (over Mickey AND Rapunzel!)

They also had this “smoking popcorn,” which was somehow made to smoke with extreme cold temperatures. The kids just loved it and I filmed a little video of them eating it – it’s not the best quality but I thought you guys might like to see it:

And now I’m going to cut this post short because I feel like I could go on for awhile… next up, Day 2, the conference sessions and more!
