Its Raining Its Pouring… This Old Mama is Dry!

If you were reading our message boards about 6 months ago, you may recall I was searching for a rainjacket. Something that looked nice. Something classic. Something comfortable. Trendy. Oh… and waterproof/resistant. And it needed a hood. Washable would be a bonus. I searched. Everyone searched. Have to say, we had a nice collection on our boards. But nothing grabbed me. Alas, winter came, and I forgot my need.
Happy birthday me! While shopping a few weeks ago (conveniently, the week of my birthday) the rain jacket section happened upon me. And there it was. The perfect rainjacket. A quick call to my mom and my birthday present from the folks was in my arms at the register. Too bad it wasn’t raining.
So, today, when I noticed the pouring rain, I was only too happy to walk out to the mailbox in my swanky new jacket. Nice fit. Nice look. Nice and dry. It does the job completely.
Tis the rainy season, so these jackets aren’t on sale yet. But today’s rain may be a big reminder to go out and get yourself a new rain jacket.
