As I continue on my Whole30 this month, I find myself appreciating the overall lifestyle food change towards real food. This is my second Whole30 and overall I’ve been trying to implement better eating habits for myself and my entire family in the past couple of years. It’s a slow change for the better.
My kids and husband love fruit and veggies so it hasn’t been hard to get ourselves eating more real food and this round of the Whole30 has already been easier than the last time because of those small changes we have made as a family.
One of the things I used to do pre-Whole30 was eat a breakfast bar every morning. My fav bar was tasty but it was loaded with sugar and the ingredient list was 3 pages long.
Since doing my last Whole30, my new snack bar or breakfast on-the-go bar is from LARABAR. There’s not much to say about them because they’re simple. Nothing complex here; no ingredient list with a bunch of words you can’t pronounce. Real food, real ingredients. There’s never an added anything, all the bars are basically just ground up fruit & nuts. They usually have no more than 5-6 ingredients and all the bars are gluten-free, dairy-free, non-GMO and vegan.
They’re delicious, healthy & we love them. My personal favorites are Cherry Pie and Coconut Cream Pie but my husband loves the Apple Pie. And before Christmas, I had a seasonal flavor – Gingerbread – it was delicious!
Just to give you an idea of how real & simple these bars are, this is the ingredient list for the Apple Pie LARABAR: Dates, Almonds, Unsweetened Apples, Walnuts, Raisins & Cinnamon.
If you’re someone who appreciates just real food with no added sugar, check out LARABAR. All the bars are simple & loaded with just nothing extra but natural foods.
You can find them pretty much all over – my local supermarkets carry them as does my local Target. And if you’re not Whole30’ing it like I am right now, the LARABAR bites are pretty awesome for a snack too.

I travel a lot for work, constantly darting from one plane to another. It’s so tough to find healthy airport food. I’ve started carrying “breakfast” bats in my purse but these to be a much better option! Thank you!
Since the New Year, I’ve been keeping one in my purse so I always have an approved snack with me!
Whole30 right along with you. I’m loving the cold turkey approach to going sugar-free and am so shocked by what foods have added sugars that absolutely don’t need sugar. That said, I love sugary treats; I can eat a HUGE meal and still always find room for something with sugar at the end. Even though I’m trying not to eat them as often (so as not to feed the sugar dragon), I love Larabars because they are sweet without being overpowering. My supply is diminishing though as my youngest (4) keeps stealing all my Larabars! (Seriously, she hides them in her room so she can have them whenever without needing to ask.)
Yeah? R they really good? I have to find one without raisins. I’m trying to limit carbs and sugar so maybe I’ll try one today.
Stef – yes! I truly love them. Favs are Cherry Pie, Coconut Cream & Apple. The Lemon’s pretty good too. They have them at Giant & Wegmans… I’m sure some come w/o Raisins!
They are amazing. My favorites are Cashew Cookie, Coconut Cream, Cherry Pie, Lemon, and Key Lime. None of my favorites have raisins.
I started the Whole30 this month and thankfully the facebook support group. At day 15 you posted about Larabars and it was a gamechanger for me. I was able to have my favorite bar back! I am looking forward to day 30 and beyond
I am on day 18 of my second Whole30 and actually just bought some Lara Bars at target! Love me some cashew cookie and hubby likes cherry pie!! Would love to win!
Following on Instagram already!
My NY Res was to eat better overall…. your Facebook page and Instagram have helped me along, so thanks!
I started the Whole30 this month and thankful for having the facebook support group. I love Larabars!
Following you on Instagram already!
You already know I’m well into the Whole30 and loving it but even before I started my friend (who has done the Whole30) turned me on to Larabars. Lemon is my favorite!
Hi!! I LOVE Larabars!!! My favorite flavors are coconut cream pie and cashew cookie, though other delicious ones I’ve tried include blueberry, key lime, and apple pie. I haven’t delved into some of their other flavors because I am avoiding sugar. I’m currently on my second whole 30 which I initiated after your suggestion/invitation for the upcoming year’s challenge. My first time eating Larabar was during my first whole 30 back in Sept when I was made aware of this quick but wholesome bar made with All Natural ingredients. My downfall is that I like to break a piece of to satisfy my after-dinner sweet tooth, but being that it’s real whole food, is that really that bad???? I guess it satisfies my “sugar dragon” but honestly it could be an less healthy food so I’m OK with it! Hope I win this Larabar prize pack!!!
I am on a Whole30 this month, too–and it’s been easier in many ways and a good deal harder, too (especially the last few days). I’ve felt more of the ‘symptoms’ that come along with the timeline of Whole30, and a sense of internal strength and reasoning that I hadn’t really felt before. So it’s an overall win, I guess? At least so far?
I made resolutions–or, rather, I have set goals for myself. One of them is to make 2017 the year I finally really commit to eating paleo, and where I am better about my training and *tracking* it in a log. I would like 2017 to also be the year I get back to running in a serious way and solidly, safely, and determinedly set myself up for half-marathon training by the last day of the year if I am not already somewhere on the trajectory of a training plan for a half. (I have goals along the way: a 5K, and either 2 10ks or a 10k and then a 10 miler, and then by the end of the year have my half marathon chosen and I hope be on the training for it) I also want to either have taken, or be signed up for, an Initial Training to become a Les Mills RPM or Sh’Bam instructor. I’m a Body Flow instructor and really believe in the format of Les Mills programs.
Those are my goals. And Lara Bars are my go-to, too (I have one–a pecan pie one, which is one of my favorite flavors–in my work bag right now). My favorite flavors are lemon, blueberry muffin, chocolate coconut, pecan pie, banana bread, the seasonal pumpkin pie flavor, and–when I’m not on whole30–I really love the chocolate chip cookie dough and the chocolate brownie flavors. I love Larabars so much and have since I found them right around the time of my first whole30 back in 2013!!!
Whole 30-ing along with you, as you know! I hope I have the willpower to stick with this way of eating for the long haul. I feel great and I’m actually enjoying it, too. I am OBSESSED with Banana Bread and Carrot Cake LARABAR flavors!
I also follow your Instagram, bonus entry!! I also love pecan pie!!! My new years resolution is to spend even more quality time with my fastly growing children!!!!!
ohh,I have always wanted to try Larabars. I have been trying to eat a lot healthier since the new year came in,,exercising also, and overall trying to get fit! Thanks for the chance!

Girl! I can’t believe I have never tried a Larabar. I’ve been afraid of them, lol! I’d love try them, though, because we NEED to start eating healthy! Would love to win this. 🙂 Oh! And I do follow you on insta!
I try to eat healthy, but always room for improvement! I’m trying hard to eat less sugar overall and nothing processed.
I started the whole 30 program by accident. I meant to just try cutting sugar and was nervous doing the whole 30 (no legumes, dairy, sugar, grains) but it has been good so far. I am so eager to take back my health. I have been sleeping great since then.
No resolutions here, but I am trying to eat a little better since I am training for a half marathon and trying to get rid of the excess weight from the holidays (without compromising training, of course). Larabars are the BEST!
Also, I follow on instagram. @ProudPatriot07
My eating habits this month center around getting back on track after the holidays and a vacation. I’m focusing on whole foods and making sure my water intake is where it should be! I also follow on Instagram @bbgliz
Thanks for this post! I really need more real foods, especially snacks, for my family.
My resolution is to declutter my kitchen, which helps me eat healthier.
I have had Larabars before and really liked them. I like cherry pie and peanut butter chocolate chip best.
I try to eat as healthy as possible and have stopped eating out for money and health reasons over the last year and I plan to keep that up. Making my own meals is so much better.
My eating habits aren’t always the best due to work or a busy schedule but I try to eat as healthy day to day. Thanks for the chance.
These are so good! I didn’t make any resolutions regarding my eating habits, but am continuing to be really careful with what I eat. These are so fun for a sweet treat sometimes. 🙂
