I have a gym routine. Each day I have a different class I take and I am pretty much a regular depending which day of the week it is. I have one class I double up on weekly because I love it so much – Les Mils BODYCOMBAT. I had taken Kickboxing and other cardio boxing type-classes but when BODYCOMBAT came to my gym two years ago, I was hooked after one class.
One of the things I love about BODYCOMBAT is that the instructors are just so fantabulous. They come into my gym to only teach Les Mils classes and the routines have been planned out and specifically designed to give you the best workout you can possibly get in the class time. I have had instructors tell us that you can burn upwords of 700 calories in these classes and I believe it. I work hard and see results.
Which is why I’m so totally excited about this new Les Mils program called IMMERSIVE FITNESS. This YouTube video gives you a little preview of what the classes will be like. It’s about getting outside of your normal routine and having some adventure!
The gist is that there will be video and music that fits into the choreography of the cardio. You’ll have a screen in front of you in cycle class and you’ll be cycling up a glacier, or in dance class you’ll be in the middle of a big music festival and dancing. It’s very virtual/gaming and sounds AMAZING to me. I am just praying it comes to my gym because I think this is seriously the next step to having an amazing experience while exercising.
For more info, you can check out Les Mils IMMERSIVE FITNESS and follow thepr0ject on Instragram for fun photos of the program.
So when can you check this out? Well follow the links I just included and hopefully it won’t be too huge of a wait. There’s some programs going on in the UK now and a pop up tent tour is planned in the US for 2015 that will hopefully hit all the local venues. You can also sign up for info & news on the Les Mils IMMERSIVE FITNESS website.
