Note:  while I don’t normally do local reviews, I wanted to make an exception.  This review is about a company called Voonder which is in the Philadelphia – Main Line area.

Since this website has been registered and hosted since 2004, you can say it’s been on the web awhile in terms of blog history.  I had been hosting with the same company since this site’s inception.  While they were wonderful in terms of reliability and tech support, they were very expensive.  And I was paying for a whole lot of space and extras that I just didn’t need as a Mom blogger.

The idea of moving servers and moving companies, with a site of my size (5 years of blogging makes for a whole heck of a lot of content!) was daunting, to say the least.

I reached out to local company Voonder.  Voonder provides tech support and guidance to individuals and small companies in the Philadelphia and Main Line area.    Based on what service you require, you get matched with a Guardian Tech who will always be your same person each time you have an issue.  In my case, I needed web support and tech assistance.  But it doesn’t have to be that specific – you can have a more general need with your PC – generic hardware issues, software installation help, etc.

My Guardian Tech, Trevor, became my hero in the time it took to help me switch servers.  It was quite the nightmare (as I said, I have a lot of content!) and he never batted an eye in solving any problems that may have arisen throughout the process.

Bottom line, if you live in the area and need tech support for any reason, check out Voonder.  The personal service alone beats the pants off of heading to your local store and handing over your laptop to some stranger.

  1. Normally I don’t read article on blogs, but I wish to say that this write-up very forced me to try and do so! Your writing style has been surprised me. Thanks, quite nice article.

  2. Hi there! I just wanted to ask if you ever have any trouble with hackers?
My last blog (wordpress) was hacked and I ended
up losing many months of hard work due to no data backup.
Do you have any solutions to protect against hackers?

  3. It’s nearly impossible to find well-informed people for this subject, however, you seem like you know what you’re
    talking about! Thanks
