Image and video hosting by TinyPic Weight Watchers Second Annual Lose for Good Campaign starts August 30 and goes to October 17. For every pound members lose, Weight Watchers will donate up to $1 million dollars to Share Our Strength and Action Against Hunger. I was honored to be asked by Weight Watchers to help promote awareness about this worthwhile campaign, which empowers Weight Watchers members to become healthier while also doing good for others.

Last year, Weight Watchers donated $1 million dollars to Share our Strength (which fights childhood hunger nationally) and Action to Hunger (which provides solutions to hunger globally), 2000 local food drives were established and 1.5 million pounds of food was donated by local food banks by Weight Watchers members – not to mention that Weight Watchers members lost a total of 4 million pounds!

To help kick off the the Second Annual Lose for Good Campaign, Mommies With Style will be giving away two 3-month memberships –good for in-person meetings or online membership. Current members who want to extend their membership by 3 months are eligible.

If you want to donate to a food bank and aren’t a Weight Watchers member, google “Food Banks” to find one near you.

  1. So I really need this. I’ve been trying to lose on my own for months and it’s not working. I did belong to WW about ten years ago and I successfully lost 30+ lbs on it! I have never gotten back to the weight or size I was when I joined, but I’m headed there. The biggest thing I have to gain? Being able to WEAR all the clothes in my closet. I have a HUGE closet full of clothes that are too small by one or two sizes. Clothes I fit into once upon a time. Even a TON of new clothes with tags on them that I can’t wear.

  2. I’d gain being more healthy and being a good influence on my daughter.

  3. Followed and Tweeted.

  4. I have a LOT to gain by having a LOT to lose. My fiance and I are planning a wedding, and the stress isn’t helping my eating habits nor my waistline! I did WW and was successful, but have fallen off track. Going to the meetings truly IS key, the support you get there is invaluable. And to take such a successful company, and launch a campaign like Lose For Good, well that’s the cherry on top!

  5. Keep the commments and tweets ladies, we’ll be keeping track and picking 2 random winners based on the amount of comments here, on FB and on Twitter.

  6. I would LOVE to win this. I had a baby six months ago (yesterday–the time goes by so fast!), and I have a two year old also. Being a stay at home mom and a photographer requires a ton of energy and I would love to gain more of it by losing weight!! I have lost with WW in the past, and I know it is a wonderful program! Thanks for hosting this giveaway!

  7. Became a fan on Facebook! 🙂

  8. I still have my baby weight from 18+ months ago, I had finally started an exercise routine in the spring, but due to an injury had to take the summer off. During that time I managed to put on another 5+ pounds… I really would like to try WW, but haven’t been able to convince DH that it’s worth the money. he thinks I just need to exercise more. I would LOVE to be able to do this for myself and my kids.

  9. Also just became a FB fan!

  10. I have a 3 yr old and a 9 month old. I would really like to lose a LOT of weight, I’ve looked into programs, and think Weight watchers would be a good option because they work with nursing mamas, but at this point I cannot afford it. DH did just get a new job though! Woohoo!

  13. I have a lot to gain by losing weight because I now have high blood pressure and do not want to take medication. I had pre-e towards the end of my pregnancy and my blood pressure did not normalize after having my son. I have all my life steadily been gaining weight and now is the time to do someting about it. I want to be able to run around and be active with my son and build memories that will last forever.

  14. I have been procrastinating losing weight for a while….I would LOVE to win this membership. What a great motivator!!!

  15. OH WHAT A GREAT CONTEST! This would be great for me to win…I can’t seem to get going on loosing my baby weight STILL!

  16. Became a FB fan!

  17. What would I gain?? 1 more healthy mom=1 more healthier family of 5!

  18. WW has such a great program. It taught me how to eat right again after my 2nd and I need a reminder course after my third!

  19. Renee Turner says

What I have to gain by losing weight is the respect of my kids. I am always preaching to them about eating right and getting enough excercise, yet I am very overweight. I am tired of being a hypocrite. I want my kids to be proud of me and I want to take care of me as much as I take care of them.

  20. A more active life that will ultimately be better for my daughter. It’s time to get healthy!

  21. Terrific contest! Thanks MWS!

  22. Neetu Aulakh says

I have a lot to GAIN by losing weight! I will gain my energy back so I’m not always so tired for my sweet 2 year old daughter. And hopefully I will be more healthy and live longer too! 🙂 I would love to win this membership because not only will I have the motivation finally to lose the weight but that WW is donating food and money for every pound we lose! That’s the best motivation ever! 🙂

  23. What do I have to gain? Well, the extra weight I’m carrying gained me a beautiful 3 week old daughter, but losing that weight would gain me a sense of my old self. Every mother out there knows how important that can be!

  24. I tweeted about this giveaway:

  25. I’m a fan on FB!

  26. I would gain a weightloss partnership with my husband who will be starting his own weightloss program in September. We both have realized we need to make our health a priority now that we have Grace : )

  27. Became a FB fan!

  28. Tiffany O. says

I would love to win this. I’ve never tried WW because I’d have trouble affording it, but I’ve had friends who have and have lost. I had a baby 2 years ago and am now trying to get into good shape so I can eventually in a year or two have another one. Of course, what I have to gain by loosing is a healthy future pregnancy and a healthier baby and self.

  29. I would love to look back at the photos of my children and see that I look like the mom that I want to be… inspiration to do so would be a great help.

  30. Became a FB fan, too!

  31. I would love to win this so I can have more energy to run around with my energetic 18 month old, feel much better about myself and be in good shape and health to have a 2nd baby in two years

  32. became a FB fan and wrote on Just Fans Wall

  33. I am a new Mom of an adorable 6 month old little lady. She is my best friend and the light of my life. Of course everyone struggles with post baby body, but I feel that my struggles are very serious. I gained 60 pounds with this pregnancy, and still have 50 to loose. No matter how hard I have tried to eat healthy and be active this weight will not budge. I want to be the happiest and best Mommy that I can be, but this extra weight is really weighing me down.

  34. I always said “when I have kids, I will lose weight because I don’t want to be the fat mom”. I now have a 5 year old and a 7.5 month old…..and I’m still the fat mom. I need a kick in the behind to get myself to WW – winning a free membership would be that kick!! Thanks!

  35. It’s not only what I have to “gain” its what my kids have to gain. I have a 2 1/2 year old and 2 month old and I want to lose weight to be healthy and be here for them. I am starting weight watchers this week and what better way to get started than with a free membership!!!

  36. I was on Weight Watchers last year and lost 30 pounds in 8 months. I assumed I could continue on my own but all I’ve done is manage to gain back 15 of those lost pounds. I’m frustrated and becoming increasingly depressed. I need the weekly meetings for motivation and tips. I’m outgrowing all the great clothes I bought after losing weight last year and I just all-around don’t feel good…physically or mentally.

  37. Following on twitter & I tweeted:

  38. Facebook fan (Michelle Hudak)

  39. Everything! Confidence, happiness in the way I look and the way my clothes fit, energy, better health, longevity….

  40. I’m a fan on Facebook

  41. This would be awesome!!!

  42. I need to stop outeating my exercise so I can finally lose those last 15 lbs. I went down 2 dress sizes last year, but have been in a plateau after having a serious injury requiring surgery 8 months ago. I have been working hard to get back in shape, and have muscles under there that I want to see!

  43. I need motivation and think WW would work great. It does not fit in my budget right now, but I would love to count points while spending those dollars on healthy food for myself and my family.
