How are you doing with your back to school shopping? I see on Facebook that some of my friends around the country have already sent some of their kids back to school! My kids won’t be going back until after Labor Day and although we’re done with back to school shopping, I know plenty of last minute Moms who haven’t finished up yet! And of course there’s always that one thing you forgot, right?

Crayola wants to remind us that all of their products are Made in the USA. In fact, they’re made right near me in Easton, PA!

Here’s some really cool facts about the crayon-making process and about Crayola that I was interested to read:

At the manufacturing facility in Pennsylvania, Crayola makes 650 crayons per minute and up to 13.5 million crayons a day! More than 400 different crayon colors are made, including favorites such as burnt sienna, carnation pink and midnight blue. On average, the company makes 3 billion crayons a year, enough to circle the world six times!

In addition to being made in America, Crayola feels it is their responsibility to shrink their carbon footprint for the kids who know and love the products and who will be the next leaders of this country. A solar farm located in Forks Township, PA provides enough power to make 1 billion of the 3 billion crayons that Crayola produces each year and 500 million markers per year.

Neat, right? So I have a giveaway from Crayola in honor of this Made in America campaign. One lucky Mommies with Style winner will receive a prize pack from Crayola with the following items:

24-ct. crayon box
64-ct. crayon box
120-ct. crayon box
10-ct. Classic broadline markers
8-ct. Washable broadline markers
