Have you guys heard of or been to an Altar’d State? I hadn’t until a couple of months ago. I was at the mall with a friend and as we walked by, she mentioned it was a cute shop so we bopped inside. I’ve been addicted ever since!

According to their website, their first store opened in 2009, so they are still relatively new to the retail market. They’re a clothing & accessory store and I just love the style and prices. They are Christian so there’s a religious aspect to some of the accessories but friend who intro’d me to the store is Jewish: You definitely don’t have to feel like you need to be religious/Christian to shop in there!

For clothing style, I like that their items are a teeny bit edgy and beyond the normal cookie cutter look of some of the more mainstream retailers lately.

Here’s a couple of cute items I bought yesterday:

The dress is so new, the guy said it just came in so I can’t find it on the website. I love the frayed edging on the top & bottom of the dress. Maybe you’ll have better luck in the coming days on the website {Altar’d State} but here is asimilardress.

The bag is the Metallic Lined Laser Cut Tote but doesn’t appear to be on the website anymore. I got it in the sale section for $50 – it came with another little makeup bag inside! Here’s a similar bag they have (it’s reversible!)

Right now they are having buy one, get one half off on full price dresses so I had to get a second dress. I’m so in love with this Wilkes Dress and can’t wait to wear it to something.

I also bought thisPrescott Dress(pictured above) which was on sale and is way cuter in person than it looks on the website! I’ll probably do it with black leggings and boots. I also got this Criss Cross Dress which I’ll pair with black skinny jeans or pants.

And I’m having buyer’s remorse over not having bought this Edison Party Dress. It was gorgeous on, I was just trying to curb myself at this point but it’s so pretty!

If you have anAltar’d Statenear you, I highly recommend checking them out in person too. I really don’t think their website does it justice – everything is just gorgeous in-store and in-person.
