We’re baaaaaaack! My family just got home this week from our third trip to Marco Island, Florida.Thankfully the weather has a bit of spring in the air here in Philadelphia since we returned, otherwise I think I’d really be crying at having left the beach & sunshine even more than I already am.
As usual, we had a wonderful time enjoying the Florida sunshine and the gulf coast beach. Because Marco Island is a good hour’s drive from the nearest airport, we always need a car to get to our resort and just get around the island. This year we were given a Mazda CX-5 to test drive and check out for the week.
We loved it! It’s considered a CUV – a crossover smaller sized SUV. It easily fit our little family of 4 with plenty of room in the trunk for our suitcases and then some. We actually normally don’t fit so well in a normal car without a third row – my growing boys are not small! But they commented on the roominess of the second row which they don’t normally do.
It was very zippy and hubby loved that it gets great gas milage. It of course had lots of standard tech you’d expect in a car nowadays – GPS, satellite radio on a touch screen, etc.
We’re actually in the market for a smaller SUV for hubby and are seriously considering the Mazda now. Get more info about the 2016 Mazda CX-5 Crossover SUV.
Disclaimer: I was provided a loaner Mazda CX-5 to test drive during this trip to help facilitate this review. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
