Sundays in the fall are a big day in our house.  We’re big Philadelphia Eagles fans and we love watching the games each week with family and friends.  It’s usually a day filled with lots of good food and company!

Today, the kids were hungry mid-morning and I asked hubby to make one of his infamous breakfast sandwiches using Kings Hawaiian Sandwich Buns. We have a 4:15 game to watch today so I needed something big to tide them over to eating an early dinner during the game.  (Note – these would also be good as brunch food for a 1:00 game!)

My husband makes an amazing breakfast and he used the Kings Hawaiian to make it today!

Ham & Egg Breakfast Sandwich

What you need:

Kings Hawaiian Sandwich Buns
4 Eggs
4 slices of your favorite deli ham
4 slices of your favorite deli cheese (we used Muenster)

He always fries up the ham and the eggs separately.   The cheese goes on top of the ham at the very end, just long enough to make it melt.  In the meantime, it’s nice to lightly toast the rolls just to make them a little warm and crunchy.
Once done, put it all together on the sandwich and voila!  Awesome ham & egg breakfast sandwich.  It couldn’t be easier.

My kids loved it and I have to say that I didn’t realize what the “Original Hawaiian Sweet” really meant – these rolls really are sweet!  Loved that added sweetness to the flavoring, it really meshes well with the ham.  We will definitely be getting these again & will be using them for barbecues on burgers too!
