Preschool Prep: Meet the Words

I am such a huge fan of the Preschool Prep series. I’ve reviewed them back in 2005 & 2006 – their DVDs “Meet the Letters” and “Meet the Numbers” taught my oldest his letters and numbers within a few weeks after he turned 2. (Which reminds me, gotta get on that with my toddler!) But my oldest used to be glued to these DVDs, which was just fine in my mind as he learned his letters and numbers through doing so.
Preschool Prep has recently launched another series of DVDs aimed at teaching sight words, which is nice timing again for my first, who we are now in the beginning stages of teaching to read. We’ve been watching Meet the Sight Words 1, which is 1 in a series of 3 new DVDs, which is pretty self-explanatory. It teaches with repetition the simple sight words that are meant to be the basic words kids can recognize as they learn to sound out other words.
