Guys! Exciting news today! I’m beyond thrilled to announce that I will be working with Raymour & Flanigan to makeover a room in my house. I most definitely need it in many rooms in my house! When they asked me which room I thought needed a furniture re-do, I said a few of them! But the two we thought needed the most were our bedroom and our dining room.

Raymour & Flanigan is going to give one of my rooms a furniture re-do and you guys get to help me decide which one! We thought it would be fun to show you some pictures and see which one you want to see made over. So here it is – the decision is between our BEDROOM and our DINING ROOM.

Here’s the skinny on each.

Our Dining Room has a mahogany table that we got when we first bought the house 13 years ago. It has a big chip in the top of the table so I always keep a table cloth on it so guests (and I) can’t see the chip. Otherwise, it’s a classic, although plain-looking table. We don’t have any other furniture in the room other than a small side table that doesn’t match so it’s definitely a bit of an empty room.

Our Bedroom also has a furniture bedroom set that we got when we first bought our house (13 years ago). It’s a matching set but we had a Queen bed when we first moved into our house. Two kids later, we’ve upgraded to a King so we no longer have a headboard or footboard because the furniture store we bought the set at has gone out of business so we couldn’t match it up.

See here:

The rest of the bedroom set still matches:

The only thing that we also laugh about is the fact that our 10 year old got ahold of a Sharpie when he was 2 or 3 and he wrote his name N-A-T-E, putting each letter on a different piece of furniture. Here’s his A on one of the dressers:

So there you have it! And I’m leaving to you guys to help me decide which one should be redone via Raymour & Flanigan. How fun, right? Leave a comment below to tell me which room I should have redone and then I’ll have a second post telling you which one was chosen and what it looks like with the new pieces. Could this post series be any more fun? I’m giddy with excitement about it!

Bedroom or Dining Room?

  1. Anne Dixon says

I vote for a new bedroom. A private romantic retreat for you and hubby to enjoy at the end of a busy day.

  2. Hard to choose but I would go for the bedroom. It is such a nice big space and I would guess you spend more time in it than the dining room. (Although, hard to get rid of the Nate “decorated” furniture!!!)

  3. I agree with Annie and Brenda- I vote bedroom – would be an exciting, relaxing and a fun , pleasant environment to hang out in!

  4. Bedroom! I LOVE a comfy…pretty bedroom!
