Real Mom Style: An Afternoon of Polo

Somehow, I think this one may fall under the fudging it a little category because it’s not exactly everyday, real Mom style when you’re dressed for a Sunday afternoon Polo Match. I’m certainly not walking around with a floral hat on my head most days!

But I loved this photo of me with some of my girls at a fundraiser for our local hospital {Chester County Polo Cup} yesterday afternoon.  I thought all my friends just glowed and looked so beautiful in their hats and dresses so I decided to roll with it and feature everyone’s looks today, cuz, why not?

Zareen (on the far left): Zareen’s wearing a Lilly Pulitzer dress that she got from 6pm.com and she got her hat from a vintage hat store in downtown Philadelphia that’s no longer there!

Me (middle): I ordered my hat just last week from Amazon!  It’s BCBGeneration’s Sun Floppy Hat and it’s $32.99.  I went to my local Claire’s Boutique at the mall (only time I’ll walk in there anytime soon since I have two boys!) and bought a few extra hair clips to decorate the hair and make it extra “derby style.”  My dress is from Athleta a few years ago and my necklace is from Lilly Pulitzer and I pretty much wear it all the time.

Love it all!  What a day and I love that we all have such a diverse collection of stores represented – lots of fun options for next time.

One last photo.  Here we are again with our husbands! (One husband was home sick – boo.) If I were REALLY inspired I’d feature the guys but I’ll leave that up to the dude who someday starts a Dad fashion blog.
