20121223-190648.jpg So I would have had a better picture of this but I was too busy ingesting it into my face to think about actually taking a decent photo before this was all that was left in the sad little bowl: Peppermint Puppy Chow.

I found the recipe on Pinterest for Peppermint Crunch Puppy Chow. Changed up the recipe a little bit because I wanted to go with what was in our pantry and it ended up delish! (Kudos to Sally’s Baking Dish for the original recipe – her pictures sure look nicer than me so apparently she was able to control herself!!)

10 cups Rice Chex Cereal
24 ounces of white chocolate chips
2 cups of Andes Peppermint Crunch Baking Chips (you can just use candy canes but I had a bag of these Andes chips & went with it)
2 cups of powered sugar

I dumped all the rice chex into a bowl and then proceeded to melt the white chocolate chips. I folded the melted chocolate in, making sure to mix it up well. I then added the crunch baking chips. Lastly, I transferred the mix to a big ziplock bag with powdered sugar. I had to do this in two batches because there was so much. The kids loved it and I did too! My waistline, not so much!
