Two childrens’ DVDs coming out today include Darkwing Duck 2 and the Muppet Show 2. I wasn’t sure how the kids would react to either one of these, and normally I wouldn’t review something quite so random, but they were pretty entertained by both.
The Muppet Show 2 was a blast from the past for hubby and I and we were quite amused to watch Kermit and Miss Piggy’s antics. The Muppet Show 2 comes out on August 7th. And I completely remember watching this show with my parents.
Season Two was from 1977 so although I don’t remember that specific year, it did run until 1981 and I definitely have memories of watching this as a child. It’s fun to watch because they definitely have late 70s/early 80s adult-humor in the show, all while keeping the kids entertained. Watching Miss Piggy’s antics trying to catch Kermit was certainly a blast from the past for me. (Did she ever get him?)
I didn’t remember Darkwing Duck, which ran in the early 90s and is a funny series about a bumbling superhero duck. This one’s for the older kids but it’s also entertaining.
Both DVD sets release August 7th, 2007 and you can find them on Amazon.
