Holy cow, not only are we halfway through August, but my kiddos will be going back to school in another week or so. I am not prepared! This summer has just whizzed by on trains, planes and automobiles as we’ve been all over the place.

In fact, we just returned home last week from a two-week trip to Hawaii, which explains how I can’t believe most of August is already gone.

But I planned our trip so we’d have a little over two weeks at home with nothing scheduled before school started. I wanted a little downtime to re-settle, get ready for school and just enjoy everything that’s offered locally where we live. I think we all tend to forget the obvious – what’s available right here in our hometowns and what we could be having fun withwhat’s right around us, without spending the money and time involved in traveling.

NESTLE SPLASH has a similar outlook to life! And they think hydration and summer should be fun, flavorful, and a little unexpected.

The days after we returned home from Hawaii were jet-lagged and full of unpacking and trying to catch up. But the day after we landed, while I was trying to unpack, my kids were jet-lagged and picking at each other. They still needed some things to do. I took them out of the house and they a little tennis and then visited a local park- all good old-fashioned summertime fun activities that make the best kinds of summer memories.

Sometimes it doesn’t take much, you know? Being spontaneous and finding local fun can make for those lasting memories.

It so happened that the park we visited was a new one we hadn’t been to before – my guys wanted to stop there to play some Pokemon Go. So while they did that,I sat and enjoyed the breeze and had a drink.

NESTLE SPLASH has zero calories and zero sugar. It comes in six packs that you can pick up nationwide.Click here to find a store near you.

I definitely appreciate the zero calorie thing. On an especially hot day, you’re just looking for hydration and having a little splash of sweetness with your hydration definitely qualifies for fun!

Of the five NESTLE SPLASH flavors, Lemon is my favorite. It also comes in Wild Berry, Mandarin Orange, Strawberry Melon, Wild Berry and Acai Grape. (Grape is my youngest’s fav)

I also dig the orange too – I guess I have a theme going with citrus flavors being my favorite! Click here for online ordering of NESTLE SPLASH. And get out there and enjoy your last days of summer locally too!
