I love video monitors. There I said it. I find them completely and utterly necessary when it comes to kids, and I am not scared to admit that I still use one for my four year old. It’s not that I am worried that something will happen to him at this point, but I love to see when he falls asleep, or if he’s playing around in his room instead of falling asleep. For my 6 month old I get to watch her move around and decide if it’s time to wake up and get her out of her crib, or if it’s all good just letting her roll around. It’s great. I used my Summer Infant Video monitor I got when my son was born in 2010 for the past four years. I used it for every bed time and nap and it served me well. Now that my daughter is here I got the Summer Infant Side By Side Split Screen Monitor so I could see both my kids with one screen and love it. Now, I am super excited to learn about two of the newest Summer Infant Video Monitors. The Sharp View HD Monitor and the Baby Touch WiFi Monitor .
The Summer Baby Touch WiFi Video Monitor ($249.99) The Multi-platform system enables in home, continuous and overnight monitoring on the 3.5″ color touchscreen monitor and in home and away from home viewing on smartphones, tablets and computers with the free Summer link WiFi App. It’s great for working parents, grandparents or anyone who just wants to feel more comfortable on the much needed mommy and daddy date night.
The Summer Infant Sharp View HD Monitor ($289.99) allows you to see your little one in high definition. It features a large 5″ color LCD flat screen and the best picture quality available in baby monitors. With a pan/scan/zoom HD camera, two -way communication, temperature display and a soft glow nightlight, the Sharp View delivers the latest technology in baby monitor innovation. This baby does it all!
I love the idea of being able to see your little one while you are out and about, but I have to give the Sharp View HD my vote between the two here. The extra features are great, and I love that you are able to see the temperature, talk to your baby and have a nightlight all in one. I always have been, and always will be a Summer Infant Fan.
I was provided with the summer infant monitors for the purposes of this review. As always all thought and opinions are my own.
