I’m excited to announce that I’ve lost 20 pounds on Weight Watchers! I feel better and in control. While I’m not at my goal weight yet, I am on my way. I don’t feel deprived, because I can still enjoy myself with foods I like (I just have to watch my portions). My husband and I recently went to Montreal and I was able to stay on plan. I enjoyed myself eating-wise, but I just made better choices. For example, on the first day we had sandwiches and french fries. The sandwich had turkey and lettuce (no cheese) and I had a small portion of the fries. This way I was able to fix that craving, but didn’t eat enough to throw me off track. For desert later that night, I had a small chocolate gelato (before Weight Watchers I would have had a larger size and then yelled at myself). We walked everywhere (and pretty far), so I knew I was keeping active too.
Back at home, the biggest things that have helped me is keeping a food diary, eTools and meetings. Writing down everything I eat helps me to realize what kind of choices I’ve made and what works better for me. Trying to keep track of it in my head never works, I need to write it down! Using eTools, I can also fill in my food diary online or find recipes. I actually find recipes for the week before I food shop. I eat the recommended portion and double the portion or (sometimes triple it) for my fit husband. Meetings are also essential for me. I need the accountability of stepping on that scale. I also love interacting with the other members, it’s great to know that I am not the only one in the room struggling with my weight.

Congrats! I recently lost 11 pounds and Weight Watchers was a great tool to begin my “journey”.
congrats! that’s really inspirational and something i might look into…after the baby 🙂
btw, I follow you on twitter, and was really proud of you when I saw this on my twitterpod!
Congratulations! Isn’t WW great? I lost 40 pounds and was about 10 away from my goal weight last fall when I found out I was pregnant! About a month ago I started over (because I gained everything back), and I’ve lost seven pounds so far. WW is just so easy to do and makes weight loss seems manageable. Love it! Keep up the good work!
Congratulations! I started WW at the beginning of the year and am down 55 pounds already and have about 40 more to go. WW is a fantastic program, and really is about living life rather than being on a diet!
I need to do this! All I want is to lose 20lbs and I’ve been trying for a year with no success. Clearly I need a little more motivation.
I am trying to lose 20lbs and have been keeping up with it on my blog. I’m not doing WW, but am just trying to eat less. Congrats on your goal!! I hope I can do it soon too 🙂
Congrats on the weight loss! WW is the only “diet” that works for me! I’m pregnant with my first baby and I plan to start WW up again soon after giving birth! Thanks for the inspiration!
