Spring has sprung in The Hundred Acre Woods, wish we were that lucky in the burbs of Philly! My family of five spent last night (which was cold and rainy) all cuddled up and watching Winnie The Pooh: Springtime with Roo. The perfect flick to get the little ones excited for Easter and the big ones (ok, me!!) excited for spring cleaning.
Originally debuted in 2004, this movie was recently released on March 11th in Blu-ray and digital high-def. It ran about an hour and held my three year old daughters attention the entire time. This is the first year she really understands Easter; thanks to the movie she really gets it now.
Although the explanation of the fun part of holidays is important, I really love Winnie The Pooh: Springtime with Roo’s theme of love, hope, friendship and selflessness. We learned that putting others needs before your own and showing a little extra TLC to your friends is extremely rewarding.
Aside from a few important lessons (Disney would never jip us out of that!) we also laughed, sang, danced and got to know some of our favorite characters a little better. Great movie, I definitely recommend it! Find out if bunny ears can even make Eeyore crack a smile and get into the Easter spirit – Check out Winnie The Pooh: Springtime with Roo!
